Sherry was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma. She received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Oklahoma and her master’s degree in special education from the University of North Texas. She taught over a decade in the public school system and earned her national board certification. Sherry eventually left the classroom and enrolled in classes at Oklahoma City University School of Law.
Sherry is admitted to the Oklahoma Bar. In addition to practicing in the courts throughout Oklahoma, she is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, and the United States Bankruptcy Appellate Panel of the Tenth Circuit.
